Typography
This collection showcases multiple typography projects, including Aperture typeface creation and implementation, single typeface typography exploration on the lyrics of U2, and historical exploration projects, examining different stylistic eras.
APERTURE is a simplistic sans-serif typeface with a twist. In photography, aperture is the opening of the lens of the camera. This typeface was inspired by the roundness of the lens and the rays of light we all need to make successful photographs.
The creative process included glyph creation, including letters, numbers, ligatures, and punctuation. Aperture is highly legible for both copy text 8pt and up as well as for headers.
This typographic exploration is featuring bold colors and contrast to elevate the message of LOVE in the lyrics of the world famous rock band U2. The decision to use only one typeface and one spot color in addition to black and white made this project challenging yet fulfilling.
This series of historical typographic explorations were created after careful research and study of different design eras and movements. It is a work-in-process project as there are endless possibilities to experiment with typographic and stylistic trends of the past.
